The trip-request form
The trip-request form on Book with Jeannie asks for your name, your mailing address (street, city, state and ZIP), your email address, an optional phone number, your preferred contact method, and trip details (dates, party size, trip length, budget tier, occasion, destination or vibe, notes).
Pressing “Send trip request” sends what you entered to this site’s server, which checks it and emails it to [email protected] through Google’s mail service, with your address set as the reply-to so Jeannie can answer you directly. The server does not store the form’s contents; once the email is handed to the mail service, nothing of it remains here. If the site cannot send it, the same text is shown on the page with a Copy button and an email link, and you can send it yourself from your own mail app. An email Jeannie receives is kept by her to plan your trip.
The human check
The form carries Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from automated scripts. It loads from challenges.cloudflare.com, and Cloudflare collects information from your browser to make that judgment under its own privacy terms. When you submit, the one-time token it issues is sent to this site’s server, which passes it, with your connection’s IP address as Cloudflare recommends, to Cloudflare to confirm. Nothing from that exchange is stored. Your form entries are not passed to Cloudflare as part of it.
Page counting on this site
Each page runs a small first-party script (/js/beacon.js) that reports to this site’s own server at /_a. It sends: the page path; a random session id kept in your browser tab’s session storage, which disappears when the tab closes; the device type (desktop, tablet or mobile) and browser family; the referring site’s hostname only, never the full address; a short description of links and buttons you click, never anything you type (input fields are recorded only by their type, and email, phone and password fields not at all); and how long the page was visible, capped at 30 minutes.
The server adds the time and the country and state or region that Cloudflare reports for the request. It does not store your IP address or any cookie — the script sets none. The data stays on the site’s own server and is used only to count what is read and clicked; individual events are deleted after 60 days. If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, the script sends nothing. It also sends nothing from automated browsers, or from a browser we have marked as a test browser (a single entry in that browser’s local storage, never sent anywhere).
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes every request (including your IP address) to serve and protect the site, and reports traffic to us in aggregate — request counts, not profiles. There are no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts.
External requests and outbound links
- The map on The Luxe Zone loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org), which receives your IP address with each tile request.
- The Book page loads the Turnstile check from Cloudflare, described above.
- The self-book hotel link on Book with Jeannie leaves this site for the Latitude of Luxe booking portal, which runs on Harvell Travel’s TravelPro system (travelpro365.com) and has its own privacy terms.
- Trip reports and tools link to other sites as sources and references; nothing is sent to them unless you follow a link.
Once you follow an outbound link, the destination site’s own privacy practices apply.
